I RARELY SHOOT BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY

April 13, 2020

HOW ARE YOU? NO SERIOUSLY!

If you need any help or anything during these strange times of COVID 19 please call a friend, family member, anybody that will just listen to you and help you express what you have going on. Do not be afraid! Ask for help.

Roaming the quiet streets of Manhattan with business casual shoes on, blazer jacket with gigantic buttons, and black pants that I spent ten dollars for the cleaners to steam press. Sadly my meeting was canceled but luckily for me I had brought my camera with me and went exploring the beautiful city that never sleeps.

It was such a gloomy and rainy day. I took my umbrella, camera bag, and prayed that my camera will not get wet during my walk around the city. I never walked around Manhattan, NY with it being so quiet. I’ve spent a lot of time in the city and seen some bizarre days, but since COVID19 hit the entire world so hard things are just so strange for better words.

I tell you Manhattan, New York will never be the same

I hope my good photographers/photojournalists are out there capturing a time in history one frame at a time.

Side note: It’s 2050 a child in school opens an American History textbook which shows one of my photos and facts about Coronavirus aka COVID 19

Usually when shooting “urban” landscape photography I try my best not to shoot to edit, meaning I try to shoot strictly with one particular setting on my camera already set in my mind. I’m looking for something that stands out, something that can tell a story, and change the perspective of the mind. I rarely edit photos in black and white setting. I like black and white photos only when using a film camera with black and white rolls of film. But today I tried something different.

These photos I believe capture a moment… NOPE!

I’ll leave that open for discussion, maybe a comment if you would like to share your perspective on my photos.
